come inside for a little home-made tea

Hola. Time for my first real post on Blogspot. I have a lot I could say but my guitar and bass are a-callin' me so I'll just do a quick picture-post. During an idle moment a couple of days ago I decided to snap a few pictures of recent purchases I shouldn't have made, and a few of my favourite style related Christmas presents. I'll apologise in advance for the terrible image quality. My camera has really seen better days! I'm still weighing up whether I can justify buying myself a new one with Christmas and birthday money, given my current financial situation (urgh...). Anyway, I'll stop babbling now.


I love this Cath Kidston bag! It's perfect for when I just need to grab something to shove my phone and purse in and dash.


My mam gave me this little Cath Kidston purse for Christmas. Ideal for the bag above! Ah, I love pretty floral prints. Especially during grim English winters where the only naturally occuring colours are variants of grey.


Part of my Christmas present from my best friend. Finally, I have some "smart" gloves. Love the button detail.


Christmas present from my stepmam. My camera decided to flatly refuse to focus when I was photographing them so I gave up. This was the best my camera could manage. Siiigh!

Another Topshop sale bargain - £45 15! You can never have too many dresses. You can, however, run out of space for them...


Ahhh, so pretty.


L: 17 Magnetized Nail Polish in what is apparently "Lilac" (okay then, not really my idea of lilac!). The bottle comes with a magnet attached to the lid and you hover the magnet over the polish whilst it's still wet to create a rippled effect. I'm pretty excited to try this, haha.
R: 17 Fast Finish Nail Polish in "Sulk". Perfect.


I have always wanted a dainty teacup.


I found this one in a lovely little backroom vintage shop in Keswick. Couldn't resist.

And since I'm rambling on about style etc., I think I'm going to stretch my ears again. When I was sixteen I stretched the first hole of my right ear to 5 or 6 mm (I still to this day don't know why I thought just stretching the one ear was a good idea...). After about 18 months I decided to take the tunnel out because I wanted to wear matching earrings again, and my ear pinged back to normal after a month or two. But I have been toying with the idea of stretching again, BOTH ears this time!, since last spring. So I bought these little baby stretchers last week and I'm tentatively planning to begin stretching up to maybe 3 or 4 mm in a couple of weeks, when I get back from my mam's after my birthday. This is what I do when I get bored: dye my hair, have a fringe chopped in, stick a needle through something.
